A Sleeveless Knit Dress in Grey
This dress was designed with comfort at the forefront. I’ve always loved wearing dresses, but most days I fall back on sweats and a graphic tee simply because they’re easy. That’s why comfort has become one of my core design principles when I sew. This dress is the result of that focus—made from soft jersey knit for stretch, a longer skirt for coverage, and a flowy silhouette with just enough structure to feel feminine. It’s one of my favorites for those three reasons alone.
Comfort or Style, Why Pick When You Can Have Both
One of my biggest struggles with modern clothing is the imbalance between beauty and comfort—so many garments achieve one but sacrifice the other. Sewing gives me the chance to bridge that gap with intention. It all starts with the fabric: if it doesn’t feel good on the body or doesn’t support
the design, the garment simply won’t work. A sewing project begins with choosing the right fabric and pairing it with the right pattern, both shaped around the person who will wear it. When those elements align, comfort and beauty can coexist effortlessly.
