A Witches Hat: Elevated with Elegance
Anything can be improved upon with a little bit of lace. This was one of my very first thrift flips, and also truthfully one of the easiest. With a simple bit of thrifted scrap lace, an old witch hat, and a bit of thread, anything is possible. With the lace pinned in place it was a simple matter of hand stitching the border down and adding some black ribbon flowers.
The Magic of a Small Adjustment
Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference. A tiny shift in shape, a new seam, or a subtle change in trim can completely alter the way a garment feels and moves.
Often, it’s a single thoughtful change that transforms a simple project into something truly special. One moment it’s ordinary, and the next it carries a spark of intention that wasn’t there before.
The magic is always in the details. Those quiet choices—where to place a stitch, how to finish an edge, what texture to highlight—are what give a handmade piece its character.
And lace remains one of my favorite little bits of magic to add. It has a way of softening a design, adding history, and bringing a touch of beauty that feels both delicate and intentional.
